School? YES!

After a glorious weekend, which included the girls playing outside, it was finally time for what Christi was most excited about at home - SCHOOL!! As soon as I called her this morning, she hopped out of her bed. Rubbing her wrist she said, "My wrist hurts." Of course that felt like a punch in the stomach, but she'll never know that, instead I asked her what she wanted for breakfast. The entire way to school the girls laughed and sang Broadway show tunes much to my delight. It felt like old times! "I love math," was heard tonight while she sat at the kitchen table working on her homework. "I'm glad to be back at school," said Christi. (We're glad too!)

We've received the printed final report from her CT scan. Unfortunately, it does say that there has been no change in the liver lesions. Of course this makes Shayne and I very sad, but we know it could be much worse. Over the weekend I noticed that her long, beautiful eyelashes are starting to fall out and her eyebrows have really thinned.

As always, THANK YOU for your continued help and support- prayers, cards, treats, emails, etc. get us through each day. We are unworthy of your continued love. Rarely, do I send out thank you notes, so please accept this as our official thank you- "blog style". Your reward in Heaven will be great!

YEAHHH Christi!!! You look so happy being back at school! Kept thinking of you all day on Monday.
And Angela dear, I am sure that nobody is expecting a thank you note or personal correspondence ...your time is with your family. Thank YOU for allowing us to walk the journey and to pray with you for Chrisit's miracle. Have a blessed Holy Week.

Speaking of Holy Week...a cute story. Our cousin Sara, she loves coming to spend time with us from her home in Maryland. She was about 6-7 yrs old and Michele and Meghan were off from high school for Easter break, so Sara asked if she could come spend the week with us and then her parents would pick her up Sat. evening to spend Easter at her aunts. I drove down to pick Sara up on Thurs. and we got back just in time for Holy Thursday Mass. Sara wanted to play! Friday...the Passion Play at church, and Saturday morning is the blessing of the baskets...at church! Well needless to say that was the last time that Sara asked to stay with us over Easter break...no time to have fun with her older cousins! I always call Sara the Wed. of Holy Week to tell her I'm on my way to pick her up! "NEVER AGAIN AUNT SYL"! : ) Oh well.

love, sylvia

It's so good to see a picture of Christi's smiling face at the school she loves so much! Eric loves math too...in fact, he's a self-proclaimed "math dork". Cracks me up!

Praying that the sun continues to shine for the Thomas Team and that you are richly blessed this Easter.
