Bottomed Out / Top Down

Despite having blood counts which have rapidly bottomed out (ANC zero, white count 0.2) and needing a platelet transfusion this afternoon, Christi surprisingly is still feeling very well! So much she asked to go to the Constitution Center this afternoon. (And thanks to Tim for offering us a ride downtown, it was in what turned out to be a wee bit of a convertible ride with the top down for the last block! After visiting and sharing that incredible place with her teacher, we went and saw the Liberty Bell and admired Independence Hall from both sides. As always, not wanting to get in a taxi ("I don't think they even have to have drivers' licenses," said Christi) we took the city bus back. She also needed a blood transfusion today, but we talked them into waiting until tomorrow- so that's how we'll spend the morning hours at CHOP tomorrow. With divine intervention, she may feel well enough to go to the Philadelphia Zoo when her blood transfusion is over as she has been hoping to do.

A REMINDER TO EVERYONE WHO IS ABLE:
PLEASE DONATE PLATELETS!!!! YOU CAN DONATE EVERY THREE DAYS AND IT ONLY TAKES ABOUT 1.5 HOURS. DONATE FOR CHRISTI, DONATE FOR ALL OF THE CHILDREN. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
So happy to hear that you are doing some sightseeing with Mrs. Smith! You girls are pros at being tour guides!
Good morning Jesus! We thank you for the beautiful sunshine! We thank You for Christi feeling so well despite what her body is going through. Please heal her completely...removing every cancer cell from her body. She has so much to give - her smile just tugs at our heartstrings! We are asking You for this miracle! Thank You for Shayne's safe arrival home and for Mrs. Smith taking this time to spend with the girls. What a gift! Thank You for all who are caring for Christi and guide them, wherever they may be, in continuing to discover whatever Christi needs in the future.... And we're thanking You in advance for Christi remaining well enough to go back to Ohio for her dance recital and the poker run! WE BELIEVE! Amen.
Have beautiful day girls! Sending lots of love, hugs, and prayers!
love, sylvia xoxoxo
