The End of Shaylauary

Wrapping up Shaylauary last night found us stopping by the hospital to welcome two new precious babies into the world! Our congratulations to two sweet couples! We hope that these special little ones will be blessed with happiness, peace and an abundance of good health.

After vision therapy in Toledo we met up with a sweet Christi Supporter from Michigan who met us for dinner. It was wonderful to get to catch up with her in person. (At the funeral home it was quite a shock to go to greet the next person in line and see it was Christi – who drove hours down from Michigan.) Shayla liked the beautiful American Girl dress Chris knitted for Shayla who just happened to have her dolls with her!
SHAYLA FUNNY: When Shayne took Shayla out snowboarding he handed her a can of “Red Bull” and asked her to pose for a picture to email to Mr. Cook since it’s his favorite drink. She said, “I can’t. It’s no beer week this week at school.” So, apparently she thought that the energy drink is alcoholic and we also had to wonder if kids normally drink beer every other week at school, just not this week??? Hee hee! Shayne explained about the energy drink, she agreed and we love this picture!
