She's Ready

It was another long day, but I think everything is all set for the opening of the fair tomorrow. Thanks to some help from "bunny experts" at the rabbit barn, Swiffer's all safely tucked in his bunny cage tonight. Shayla's rabbit interview for "Pet Rabbit" will be about 8:30 a.m. tomorrow. Shayla is not nervous about any of this; wish I could say that! She's just having fun being with her friends and animals.

At 9:00am tomorrow, the horse interviews begin for her project "Beginning Horse Management". Tonight, after Skeeter was all settled in and everything was prepared, Shayla took him out to the arena for a ride. We wanted to see how those new show boots from Amish country and her new spurs would work along with her new $3.00 black slippery pants from Walmart. Everything seemed to work fine. Now if I can just get it all cleaned up again before she needs it on Tuesday.

This has all been very interesting because it seems like it's the first time we're doing something "big" with Shayla that Christi never did. As we watched her tonight, we talked about that. Shayne thinks it is easier this way and I must agree. We miss you sweet Christi. Please ask God to watch over Shayla and all of the 4-H kids this week. Keep them and their animals safe.

Sweet Blogger Coming to Sandusky: Please email me. I have some restaurant suggestions for your family. zzartset@bright.net
