Scamming Celebrities - Hope Jackson (again on ABC's Nightline)

Hi!  I hope this finds you well!  A few sweet bloggers have emailed asking for an update on the show so I thought I should share.  You can find it all on ABC Nightline's website, but it was basically a repeat of the same story which ran in November, but with new celebrities Hope Jackson also scammed who came forward as a result of the November airing.  The new part is basically Part III of the story.  Here is the link to that section if you desire to see it:  http://abcnews.go.com/Nightline/video/singer-natalie-grant-plays-family-victimized-elaborate-hoax-23117457

I hope all is well with you and your family!  We had a nice (very, very, very quick - like 48 hours) trip to New York City where we saw a couple of shows (Rock of Ages & Les Mierables), had an official college visit at New York University - NYU, a trip to Solving Kids Cancer and a ballet lesson with a Broadway choreographer for Shayla.  We also visited a friend who lost his child to neuroblastoma and believe it or not hooked up with our niece who was in the city for work - crazy!

Visiting our NYC friends who also lost a precious little family member to neuroblastoma.

Fun getting a lesson from a Broadway performer and a Broadway choreographer!

We loved seeing Les Miserables; we are still singing the songs!

A very nice visit was had at Solving Kids Cancers - focusing on the three most deadly childhood cancers (of course this includes neuroblastoma).

Rock of Ages on Broadway!

Shayla's official campus visit at New York University (NYU).
Much to our shock and delight our niece was in the city for work so we got to spend a bit of time with her and her friend.  SWEET!  I'm so proud of my little enginerd! (Oh, I mean engineer!)  Shayla said, "I've now been to NYC with my cousin two times!"  Yes, indeed!

I know Hope jackson very well. We have worked together in fast food for several months. She is a whack-job. Im sorry for what happened to your family because of this evil villain that is absolutely pathetic and that should still be in jail! I'm hoping she gets fired soon because I can't stand being around her.

Why doesn't your family press charges against her, Angela? I would! Glad you have fun in New York though!

I am a psychotherapist and there really is no such thing as munchhausen disorder the way it's being said here. Hope Jackson doesn't follow the symptoms of this. Isn't it sickening how some people can create illnesses to get off of the hook for their poor decision making? You and your husband have suffered from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder - PTSD, yet you never use it as an excuse and instead continue to do nice things for others. The world needs more like you!

Our family is just a regular family she scammed. We don't get the recognition celebrities do of course and we did send her money over a period of two years. She's a sicko! The story also didn't mention how sexually disgusting she is, pretending to be a child who is pimped out and now has AIDS. I cannot, cannot believe we fell for it but, sadly we did. When I talked to "her" she told me about the horrible things men did to her. Her children should be taken from her and she should not be home schooling. Hope Jackson is a disgrace to society.

I'm shocked that the story said she had scammed at least 24 celebrities. How many others do they not know about? I'm willing to bet there are many, many, many others that this kook harassed and no one knows about. She needs to sit her butt back in jail.

I'm so sorry for your family and others who were used by this sick individual. I keep my thoughts on Sweet Christi. I came to know her as a ChemoAngel. Through her life she was a force of pure goodness! That this woman would exploit Christi and your family in this way just hurts my heart. However, I do keep her completely separate from my thoughts of Christi! She is a shining star! The way you and Shane and Shayla live your lives honor her everyday! Christi is never forgotten! She is loved and remembered by all of us who know her story!

Love and blessings to you!
