2015 Lemon Ball Dance Party: A Fundraiser for Alex's Lemonade Stand in honor of 16th birthday and in memory of Christi

As I shared earlier, Shayla asked us if we would rent a space and hire a DJ to have a fundraiser for Alex's Lemonade Stand instead of receiving gifts for her 16th birthday so we did. Last night was Shayla's "Lemon Ball Dance Party" where students from: Calvert, Columbian, Hopewell, Lakota, St. Wendelin, Seneca East, Buckeye Central high schools and BGSU danced for four hours. (Due to fire code at the theater, Shayla had to limit her guest list and she felt bad about not being able to invited everyone she wanted to invite.) Thanks to amazing friends, family and loving Internet "Christi fans" pulling together for a great cause, approximately $2,800 was raised. Shayla far surpassed her goal of raising $1600 for her 16th birthday and we believe Christi was proud of her little sister. Thanks everyone for your incredible generosity, and concern for children fighting the most horrible beast - childhood cancer!
